Here is a brief overview of the main steps you will want to take when installing your pond.  For a more complete process please visit PondSolutions.com.
1.  Outline the area where you want to put your pond.
2.  Start digging from the middle out to the edge, putting the dirt in a wheel barrow to haul off.

3. Take some sand and put down a 2" layer before you lay down the liner.  This will prevent rocks and rough objects from ripping your liner.
4.  Next carefully lay down the liner.

5.  Once the liner is in place you can start filling the pond with water.  This will push the liner down into the hole and it will form to the edges that you dug out.

6.  After it is full, trim the liner and use some of the excess dirt to make a raised edge so that drainoff water will not leak into your pond.
